SRX2918662: RNASeq of ABC07: Penicillin replicate 3
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 7.3M spots, 307.6M bases, 192.5Mb downloads

Design: Cell pellets stored in Qiagen RNAProtect reagent, DNA extracted by phenol:chloroform, rRNA depleted by Epicentre Ribo-Zero rRNA removal kit, cDNA prepared by Invitrogen SuperScript II, sheared by Covaris S2, and sequenced 1 x 50 bp by Illumina HiSeq2000

Study: Penicillin consuming ABC strain genomes
show Abstracthide Abstract
The goal of this project is to identify the gene pathways and enzyme mechanisms used by penicillin-consuming bacteria during growth on penicillin as a sole carbon source. These bacteria represent an under studied component of soil antibiotic ecology and utilize unknown enzymes in their metabolisms.
